Types of arrow roots in Kenya

Kenyan markets use many local names. For commerce, what matters is cycle length, tuber size, and whether the type tolerates your water system. We specialise in Dasheen suckers/seedlings.

Other names you will hear

Farmers may mention hybrid or local landraces with longer cycles or different drought behaviour. We do not run a multi-variety catalogue. If your buyer wants classic kitchen nduma on a short cycle, plant Dasheen.

Not the same as yam or cassava

Those are different crops. Read nduma vs yam vs cassava.
