Why we focus on Dasheen nduma (and why buyers like it)

Arrowroots Farming Kenya sells one planting product: Dasheen suckers at Ksh 10. That is intentional. Dasheen (Colocasia esculenta / nduma) gives Kenyan growers a clear package - short cycle, market-friendly tuber size, and lower rot drama than many types - when water and manure are done right.

Dasheen scorecard

What “highest yield” really means

Yield is genetics plus water plus patience. Insufficient irrigation can wipe out about 30% of potential yield. Early harvest destroys cooking quality even if the plant looks big. Master those two before chasing exotic variety names.

Our commercial stance

We do not run a multi-variety catalogue on this site. If you want planting material for a serious Dasheen field - kitchen plot or full acre at ~20,000 suckers - we supply the stems and the planting playbook.
