Hole depth
Dig 20–30 cm. Hole size and depth shape the quality you harvest.
One sucker, one hole
Place the sucker so it touches the bottom. Cover with a light soil layer.
Manure rules
500 g well-decomposed farmyard manure per hole. Goat/cow best. Avoid chicken and pig manure.
Water & mulch
Mulch with grass. Irrigate at least 6 months. Weak water can cut yield by ~30%.
